The purpose of the map is to honour the efforts of our great-grandparents to build a home for the reborn Lithuanian nation. Such a home which would serve as a shelter for the brotherly Jews, Poles, Germans, Belarusians and other peoples which had co-existed peacefully in the days of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
